Hotel Information: Exceptionally child-friendly, Doubletree Guest Suites supplies warm chocolate-chip cookies at check-in, features a large aviary and Disney murals in the two-story lobby, and provides children with their own check-in desk, where they can sign in, receive gifts and balloons, and borrow books and board games. Adjacent to the hotel's restaurant is a kids' club that shows movies and children's television channels.
Amenity highlights: A good-size pool and children's pool containing a fountain offer relaxation between theme-park visits. A secluded eight-person spa tub provides convivial soaking in a garden setting. A children's game room nearby permits adults to sun leisurely while kids play within eyesight.
Insider tip: The hotel operates complimentary shuttles to and from Walt Disney World® Resort every 30 minutes, beginning one hour before parks open and ending two hours after parks close. Several times a day, complimentary shuttles leave for Disney's water parks, with returns scheduled in the afternoon and evening. Every 30 minutes from 6 PM–3 AM, vans also shuttle between the hotel and Downtown Disney® area.
This seven-story Doubletree offers 229 guest suites featuring colorful fabrics and upholstered furniture. Folding louvered doors provide privacy between bedrooms and living/dining rooms. Units are equipped with coffeemakers, microwaves, compact refrigerators, and sinks, but not dishes or utensils.
All suites offer two TVs with cable, pay movies, and video games (surcharge). In-room phones have voice mail. Rooms also offer high-speed and dial-up Internet access (surcharge). Amenities include hair dryers, in-room safes (surcharge), and complimentary USA Today newspapers.
All rooms include the Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree Sleep Experience bed with a plush-top mattress that is triple sheeted with high-thread-count linens; a down comforter; and a supply of jumbo pillows.
