Universal's Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Hotel Information: The South Pacific is the theme of this seven-story resort with Bali-influenced styling, lotus lagoon, and footbridge overlooking streams and waterfalls. The lobby, which surrounds an open-air court filled with brilliantly colored orchids, stone statues, and hand-painted panels, provides an island welcome to business and vacationing guests.

Amenity highlights: Set on a white-sand beach, the resort’s huge zero-entry lagoon pool includes a children’s play area. Guests also enjoy three spa tubs and a 5,000-square-foot gymnasium. Mariner’s Club provides supervised childcare activities nightly (surcharge). Shuttles and water taxis within Universal Orlando, as well as shuttles to SeaWorld and Wet ‘n Wild, are complimentary. Guests bypass regular theme-park lines with complimentary Universal Express ride access.

Insider tip: Guests seeking a faster pace can hop a water taxi or shuttle to a replica of the famed New Orleans watering hole, Pat O’Brien’s, in CityWalk.
